Fun Diving Trip!=)

Yo! I have came back from my fun and thrilling diving trip at tioman. It was a 4d3n trip. I didnt bring my camera though, i didnt know how deep it could go underwater. But basically i didnt bring it because i would have to worry and take care of another item. It would a bit lengthy because there is no pictures, or maybe there is 1 that i took from my phone when we were on the bus. Ok, so lets name the instructors first.
Alex Tan - Core-instructor(Boss of Fishermen Scuba Studio and a "Instructor Certifier" who has attained the highest level of diving and qualifies people to be instructors.)
Jason de Hamel - Instructor(Ex-marist teacher, now working as a chef and also a dive instructor. He's quite fat. haha. He is a malay, and he say himself to be a Nigga.Damn funny.)
Andrew Woo - Instructor ( Working as IT personnal of a big company.)
Dean - Instructor (An ang-moh. Pro diver too. He took out his regulator, and made a ring of bubble. Hah!)
Melvin!!=) - Dive Control Specialist ( Assists instructors.) (Tatto maker. Nice guy! Become my good friend, he will call me next time he dive and he only started diving this year! I know him since my pool session. He lent me his mask, super comfortable and nice sia!)
There's another instructor that was with us, but i didn't know him.
Day 1:
Reached school at 600. Sijun's mother send us to school. The meeting time was 615. But at 6, there was a lot of people already. Then the instructors came with their van, inside got all our dive bags. Two persons to one dive bag, i had no buddy(buddy sick) so mine was only my own things. Inside there is all our dive equipments. Placed all the stuff inside the big bus and we setted off for malaysia. Went by tuas, passed the customs etc, we had a breakfast stop before heading for Mersing Jetty where the boat is there. Reached mersing jetty about 12+. Had lunch break and left for Tioman! The adventure starts. The ferry we took was two storeys, the boat was big, has a air conditioned cabin, back of the 1st storey is the air tank etc, then 2nd level is open air. A few of us lay at the front of the ferry on the 2nd storey to suntan. I suntanned like for the last 30mins only. So not that dark. Went to marine park(a diving/snorkelling place of tioman) first, not even checking into our resorts first. It was about 5pm The leisure and advanced divers went down to dive, open water divers went to snorkel first. After that, went to check into our resorts. kind of rundown resorts. Haha. 4 to a room. Me, sijun, deryoh and samuel one room. We all had dinner every night at the same place, its provided. And of course, we do our marist tradition, saying a prayer of grace before eating... This dive trip, the principal, vice-principal, discipline master, 2 pe teachers and my ss teacher went. Many teachers missing. hod of pe missing, my physics teacher missing, 2 maths teacher missing. Anyway, they could go another time though. I found out my phone cannot connect to the malaysia netowrk i was wondering why, then i thought "I dont think i have auto-roaming." So i used sijun's phone to send a msg to my parents. So we slept around 10+.
Day 2:
Had breakfast together at the same place as for dinner, everyday all meals at the same place. My parents activated autoroaming and sent a msg to sijun. So i charged my phone and on it. My phone's ringtone is "bankai!". After i on, my phone went "bankai!" Then after that it went repeatedly on for 9 more times, but it was interrupted by the next msg, so it went. "Ban... Ban... Ban.. Ban... Ban... Kai!" Haha!Reported at the dive centre at 930am after eating etc. So we,open water divers, rigged up our stuff, then we walk about 200m to the dive site with our 12kg equipments, inclusive of the air tank. By the time it was 1030. Basically, we are split into different groups, and the leisure and advanced divers went out on the ferry. So, i went with the same instructor as i had in the pool, Andrew. At first Melvin was assisting Andrew in the pool, in the end at tioman, he was sent to assist Jason. My group had me, samuel, deryoh, a fat boy(shall talk more about him later) and some other people. 7 in total. Sijun was under Jason. So our first dive, we walk from the beach down. Then we went down to 2.8m which is 9.25ft for 35 minutes. We went in to 1m+, revise what we learnt in the pool like mask clearing, regulator retrieving and regulator clearing before going in a little deeper. And in my first dive, my group and i saw a crocodile fish! Woot. Thats fast. My discipline master saw my log book he say he jealous. Hah. Sijun group had one guy who vomitted, and all the fish came rushing up to grab the vomit. Haha! Funny sight u will see. And that guy's partner floated up to surface, and was abit afraid. Jason was damn funny. He do actions showing that that guy has no balls etc. Hah. The 2nd dive we went down to 11m, 36.3ft for 1hour 7 minutes. Practised emergency drill, when u have no air left. And that dive, my air tank's O ring got leakage, i leak some air, so i was kinda low on air so i stayed up on surface after my emergency drill. Our group went the deepest for that dive i think. Andrew very on! In the pool, our group first to finish the exercises... So, back to the story, we came up to rest, went down for the 3rd dive at 1711 to 9.1m,30ft for 25 minutes.( After every dive, the next dive u go should be shallower.) Only our grp went for a 3rd dive. Saw a titan trigger fish, and Andrew ask us to stop, then he put his hand out like holding a gun, pressing the trigger. The trigger fish is dangerous, will attack people, so we wait for it to see where is swim to before continuing... In the water, its damn funny. You can burp, sneeze etc. And if u vomit underwater, u will see all the fish chiong to u and eat ure vomit. Hahaha. Had dinner, then we went around walking. Then we went to the dive centre, alex tell us story which is related to if u have problem equalizing, feeling dizzy etc, do not dive.
Day 3:
This time, i was transferred to Alex group. Alex will take a group himself. The previous day, he didnt take any group. So i went with Alex, with him was a sec 2 marist and his family which is his sister and father. The mother didnt dive. So i buddy with the dad. My group and sijun's group took a speedboat to marine park again, then we dived down there. My previous group and another group took another speed boat there. We went down to about 40+ ft then we took out bread to feed the fish. You take out one bread, all the fish will chiong at you, you cant see anything but fishes around you! Its damn cool. After feeding, we went even deeper, to 60ft. The maximum for open water divers. The shipwreck was there. So we went there to see see look look. Only Andrew's group and our group went down that deep. It was damn cool. Alex took one super long sea cucumber up to show us. It was like half a metre long. And it was slimy. Haha! And there was this fish called badfish a.k.a "kaypo fish". It looks like a huge discus or angel fish, really huge, abit bigger than our head. It is known to follow divers, it just follows, but does nothing thats why its "kaypo fish". We went back up to rest again and then took a boat to Soyak island which is only 2 minutes boat ride from Tioman, its out in the open sea. So we dived there. The sec 2 marist jump down, then after that say he not feeling well, so we went back up the boat. Me, alex, the dad and the sister went on then. We dived down to 12.9m,42.6ft down for 42 minutes. This time, we see a lot of things. We saw a cuttlefish, starfish, barracudas, sea turtles and many more! They say to see the sea turtle is rare, we were lucky. Sijun's group was beside us also. Got one point in time, the girl suddenly started floating up, then i had to pull the fins to keep her down. Sometimes one will suddenly float up, not sure why too, but i know, going up too fast would cause decompression sickness, so we have to stop them from floating up. We came up after that. And on the speedboat while waiting for all to get onboard, weihin,sijun's group vomitted. The speedboat was kinda rocky when it was stationary, because of the waves it was much easier to get seasick on the speedboat. So we went back to rest and recharge our tanks. Important procedure, to rest before another dive, surface interval. We went down again at 1759 for 30 minutes. We went onto our big ferry, and got down from it. We dived around the jetty there, this time i was with jason's group and sijun went to the angmoh group. They rearranged abit. But its ok, melvin was in my group too! This time, my buddy was the tennis coach, principal's friend. Halfway, he somehow floated up. I didnt know, then jason point to me, and i grab his fins to pull him down. We saw lionfish, barracudas, and many others too. It was a 13 metres dive. Really fun! Then we went onboard the ferry and put our things down. Went up the jetty, and we did the tradition thing. Jumping off the jetty for graduation. A graduation jump. So u see everyone jumping off the jetty which was about 3-4m above the water. People were somersaulting etc. Hah. Then we went to the 2nd storey of the ferry which was abit higher than the jetty and jump again. And while jumping, we shout "Marist!" Damn fun! Had dinner at the chinese restaurant for the last night. And then we walked around, samuel went to buy stuffs for his gf and himself. Hah. His ringtone is polyphonic power rangers ringtone. We saw it was his gf, so each time it rings, we call him "girlfriend boy." instead of saying his name. Me and sijun keep chionging ice-cream. I ate 4 on that day. Slept at 11+.
Day 4:
We woked abit later this morning, at around 750, was supposed to eat breakfast at 8. But most were abit late too, so it was alright. Hah. We blame the rooster, because every morning, it goes "cockadoo!" at 730-740 but it didnt on that day. We then walked around, packed our barang barang before bringing it to dive centre, then me and sijun eat ice-cream again. Left Tioman at about 10. This time, after 40 minutes of boat ride, i was the first to go to the front to suntan. And i fell asleep. Haha! So did sijun and deryoh fell asleep. I woke up like almost 2 hours later. Then i turn over. Lol! Now i am like a black shit bamboo. Our bodies are all red. The boat ride was about 4 hours. Had lunch at Mersing Jetty again. And took the 4 hour bus ride. At first, Alex was sitting at the middle of the last row of seats with sijun they all, the seats can go all the way down. I was listening to music and sleeping on the 2nd last row, no one was beside me. He suddenly jumped there, and press my leg, my sunburn, super pain. Then he use elbow press my chest, sunburn there also. Haha. Then he took one side of my ear piece and listen songs. And sleep beside me, damn funny. I took a pic of that with my phone, the only pic! Hah. And i fell asleep for like 2+ hours on that bus. Had a mini break before going into the customs. Reached sch at 650 and my dad sent me and sijun home. Yay! Now i am a certified diver, I will get my certified-card 3 months later.
Ok, backtrack abit, i said i would talk about that fat boy eh?! That fat boy during the pool session, he was in my group, which was Andrew's group. And from that time, he know that he was quite mischievious and abit not listen to instructions. We all had a negative image of him already. So, during the trip, there was the sister of another guy isn't it? The sister was 19years old, going on to uni. From what all of us see, he like the girl, he is like always beside the girl. Hah! So whenever he was not around, we all know and will be saying where to find him. They would be saying " Go find the girl, and u can find him already." Alamak. The girl 19 years old, he 14 years old he also want. Hah. And we can see that his buddy, also kind of like the girl. It was damn comical. The fat boy was also damn irritating in his actions and behaviour and super not listen to instructions. So almost all, even the advanced divers were kinda du lan with him... When he was jumping off the 2nd storey of the ferry, he somehow got tripped by something, then he fell into the sea. Damn funny. All of us laugh! Hahaha. Seriously, all laugh at him. Enough about him.
Anyway, on the bus before leaving Mersing jetty towards johor today, the discipline master somehow lost his pouch. And he went down to find it. He couldn't find, the 2nd time he went down, he found it. And all of us say "Mr Koh, that's so not cool of you." Hahaha! Cause at tioman, he said one of the open water diver was not cool jokingly because of some matters. Haha.
Oh man! I miss diving. I want to go again, maybe end of this year. Woot. It was really fun, the instructors were all always joking... Hope Melvin will call me, and my mum will allow! Woot. But the thing is after diving, when on land, you will feel "wavy". You will still feel like the current is pushing you. Haha. But its perfectly fine! I brought my PSP along, supposedly to play. And i bought it and thought that i would play on the trip, but i didnt. Instead, lent to other people to play. Even in the resort, was kinda lazy to play it, thrilled by diving. Hah.

edit: We had a theory examination on the 2nd night. Jason say who got full marks, he treat who chocolate. Samuel, sijun and I got full-marks. But of course, this test, u can choose to discuss or choose to open book, the whole group decided to go for discussion. In the end he didn't give chocolate to us. Hah. And we dare not ask, very paiseh. Hah, so we just left it like that.
